Description

Reno’s History Lives!!
See, hear and touch Reno’s history at “Reno’s First Address” during FREE guided tours Fridays, May 5, 12 and 19 at Noon. No registration required. Park in the Lake Mansion lot off Arlington Ave. (or accessible street parking on Flint St.) and enter the mansion from the Flint Street side. Tours last 20-30 minutes. Free admission, donations always appreciated to help Arts for All Nevada preserve and maintain the historic Lake Mansion.

Built in 1877 and owned by the founder of Reno, Myron Lake, the mansion is one of the few residences in the area listed on State and National Registers of Historic Places open-to-the-public to explore.

The main floor features family furniture pieces, antiques, kitchen equipment (take a guess what these items were used for) and an Art Gallery (library and master bedroom).
