Rose's Cafe

Rose's is located on Center Street near Maytan Music and just north of the 8 On Center project. Much like Daughter's Cafe, it's located in a converted old house. They are known for their sandwiches. The price tag is a bit high for sandwiches but it's well worth it for an occasional treat. Most sandwiches are around $9 and include a side-salad and brownie.

Rose's Cafe

There is very limited seating so get there early or you might have to wait.

The sandwiches are named after famous actors and actresses. The Young Man's and Picasso are particularly delicious, as I am a ham and pastrami fan. I dig the Renoir sandwich too, with its Havarti dill and swiss and Jack cheese.

Their salads are pretty yummy too and include a delicious tuna, chicken and egg salad which I've gobbled down a couple of times over.

my neighbor and i ( both relatively new to reno)went to rose's cafe for lunch today - charming place with the warmth of a fireplace. limited seating and a little loud because it was crowded and everyone was relaxed and talking. place closes at three but we were not rushed to finish our coffee or pay our bill. i had the oriental chicken salad ( huge) and my neighbor had the van gogh sandwich - both were excellent. bill came to 23 including coffee. and do not espect any dishes or mugs to match. mixed crowd. highly recommend.
