Truckee River Eats and Sweets
Truckee River Eats and Sweets is a recent addition to downtown, and is located on the downtown Reno riverwalk, facing the river, adjacent to Sierra Tap House. The place is hoppin' in the summer, with hommade candy and treats, sandwhiches from Paisan's, hot dogs, warm pretzels, locally made ice cream, and treats for doggies as well. The concept of Truckee River Eats and Sweets is to pick up a quick meal while playing on the Truckee River or roaming around downtown shopping.
Truckee River Eats & Sweets was a dream forty years in the making stemming from vivid childhood memories of a grandfather with a passion for sweets. It's clear to see that their sweet idea has turned into a sugar-coated success! From old time favorites to modern creations there is something for everyone of all ages and even the family pet!
The interior is crammed full of yummy goodies, from candy bins where you can mix and match your own candies, to a display table full of high end dog treats and toys. Along the south-facing window are some bar-type seats allowing you to eat and watch passerbys outside.
I've never had a bad experience here, and recommend it for a quick bite downtown.
