So check out Edgewater at Virginia Lake. It's a large project that has been around a while, but like many others put on the back burner...or at least I remember seeing something about it before. It has turned up on the City of Reno's web for a recent planning review on August 13. Perhaps this project is being ressurected? I have to admit, I was a little worried when longtime Midtown staple Rose's Cafe closed. That worry partially stemmed from my anxiety about having to find another good neighborhood sandwich shop to replace their unique creations, and the other was a vacant building plaguing recently-revitalized Center Street. We have our own Foodie group on Facebook, and some people get excited enough about it to make videos and blog about it. I am not sure on the source of the video below, it just popped up on my Reno RSS feed. The buzz on Facebook is it's a college student project. In any case, it's a cool vid, worth a watch, and promotes downtown and Midtown businesses from a younger perspective.
