3/20/09 - MONTAGE - The first residences at the Montage 'closed' a couple days ago, allowing people to start moving in. Nice! I'm told more information should be emailed to me this afternoon regarding the first folks moving in.

So where are the naysayers now? All those people who said "it'll never happen" should take note. It's happening. No matter who owns the building, Corus, L3 or anyone else - this project is successful. I for one, am more than excited that our community is getting new residents in our downtown. They'll help bring new business to the urban core, and help move our local economy away from being gaming based.

I know this comment is off topic but I feel it needs to be said....There was a huge tragedy yesterday in Oakland Ca. where five of its brave police officers were shot, 3 were killed and one in serious condition. Im asking my downtown reno fans to have these officers and their families in your prayers. Support your brave men and women in blue. shake their hands when walking by and tell them how appreciated they are.
Cool. I hope Corus holds out long enough to fill the building up.
