It looks like 11 North Sierra, which is the movie theater building that was the prior home to Cinemark Century Riverside 12 movie theater, is now under contract with a new buyer, according to the Loopnet ad that was posted to sell it. The Loopnet ad was posted shortly after developer John Wade passed away, who was in escrow to buy the movie theater building and had plans for it. The pending sale then reverted back to the east-coast-based investment firm that owned it, and this ad was posted shortly after, in October of 2024; the investment firm had no interest in owning it, and listed it for a very reasonable price of $6,750,000 (considering other completely vacant land along the Truckee River sold for $11 million (the Kimpton property) and $14,000,000 (0 Museum Drive near the Autoobile Museum)
No word yet on who is in the process of buying it or what their plans are, but I'm hoping the building can be reused instead of demolished.
