Center Street Construction in Reno

by Mike Van Houten / Mar 8, 2011

Construction continues on a new building on the corner of Taylor and Center Street, and it looks like initial demo work has begun on the old Crystal Springs Water building. It's rumored to be converting into a brewery/restaurant. I love the architectural style of this building. It has a very Spanish Mission style that has a lot of potential beyond beyond white and blue.

Mike - The Crystal Springs building is being converted by Art, the owner of St. James Infirmary, to a brewery/restaurant (plus two live/work spaces). Super exciting!

Woohoo! This is great news. Can't wait to see it & visit once the transformation is complete. I would love to see Reno take a page out of Portland's book and continue attracting breweries. Craft brews are becoming more and more popular and people are planning their vacations to "brew" destinations. There are even brewery bus tours starting to pop up.
