Senior Complex and 2Cubes on Stewart Rise

The senior housing complex is coming along nicely. Love the gabled roof.

A small senior complex and a duplex! Pfheeew things are on FIRE in the wells district, and just about every other downtown city in U.S. lol

Snarkiness factor on Larry's comment: 6.5

I agree with Larry. I come to this website to get information on actual projects. So there building a house, BIG DEAL! WHERE IS ALL OF THE INFORMATION ON THE APPLE BUSINESS CENTER DOWNTOWN! This website is becoming a joke. It's like the Reno News & Review, all advertising and no content.

To Dave Wilson, there is no information on the Apple Center downtown because there is no activity with the project. When I hear something, I'll report it. While a duplex being built in Wells Avenue area might not appeal to you specifically, that lot has been empty with overgrown weeds since I moved here 10 years ago. So to me, it's exciting something cool is being built there and more people moving into the neighborhood. And for the record, there is ZERO advertising on this site. Nor does anyone pay me for coverage.

More renters moving in the area NOT homeowners is hardly something I'd be getting too excited about right away! Sometimes an empty lot isnt always a bad "problem" to have.

Any time a neighborhood eyesore is fixed, as with the senior 8-plex on Moran that sat there burnt out for over a decade, I will get excited. while homeowner occupancy is my first choice, I will most definitely get excited about two duplex projects on one street that bring in high quality renters, which fills the neighborhood up more and helps surrounding businesses. It also looks better than a weed-ridden lot.

Heh. This place made it a long time without commenting trolls. Downtown is still so much better than 10 years ago. Nobody says it's all done yet, hence the subject of this website. Duh.

I monitor websites about Carson City and Reno because I will move to one of your cities within the next three years. I will start a manufacturing business and a retail business when I arrive. This site I monitor weekly because it shows progress. Progress is one person at a time doing something positive. Anything remodeled or rebuilt is positive; irrespective of which part of the community it serves. This website is operated by a real person, showing real work, not by politicians trying to look good; with all due respect to the politicians. This website is how a city sells itself. Many people across the country, that do not comment on the site, appreciate the site. Thank you Webmaster.

Hay DowntownMakeoverDude. Have not seen a post in over a month. You OK? Still love the site. My go to site prior to hitting my fav location for a weekend getaways. Thanks to you I have discovered Midtown, and all it has to offer. Keep up the good work.

Hey RenoFan! Everything is great. I am in the mind-numbing process of developing a new version of Downtownmakeover that functions in a completely different way, so it will be much less time consuming for me to post news items. Prior to this redesign, everything on my site was static...in simple terms nothing was powered by a database like Wordpress or Joomla, it was all manually done. I just finished making my entire Discover Downtown guide dynamic, which is why you might notice a ton of new locales and categories, and within this week should finish up the news portion and new design. I am also redesigning DTM so it's responsive and mobile-friendly, which is a huge task for a site with over 1,500 pages of content lol. But yes, I am still here, still ok, the site isn't going anywhere just in a huge transition, perhaps the largest transition in its history.

Excited! Can't wait to see the redesigned site. And start getting my regular DTM fix!
