It's Time to Play in the Truckee River!
The Reno River Festival is back for 2012, and more fun than ever! New events added to this whitewater-centric festival promise to keep it fresh and even includes dogs this year.
Popular events returning for 2012 include freestyle, boatercross, SUP and slalom kayaking competitions and Run Amuck.
Two new events this year expand the event even further: Splash Dogs and the Biggest Little Dog Jog.
Splash Dogs will feature dock jumping and diving. Dogs compete for distance in open and lap dog classes, diving from a dock into a 40 foot pool. Fast becoming one of America’s most popular outdoor events, proud pet owners travel from all over the region to compete.
And of course, there will be a vendorville and live music all weekend. So hang downtown this weekend and ring in the events season with one of the wettest events in the West!
