NadaDada Invades Your Senses This Weekend

by Mike Van Houten / Jun 17, 2014

It's time for one of the most eclectic, fun, rule-breaking art movements in Reno...Nada Dada Motel! Take a break from the traditional art scene in Reno and step underground, into a world that you would probably rarely if ever visit in 'real life.'

Rather than finding this art in squeaky clean art galleries throughout the city, you will find yourself thrown into the darker, less-traveled realms of downtown Reno and beyond as artists set up shop within Reno's weekly motels. Each artist rents a motel room and makes it their own temporary canvas. Thought-provoking, disturbing, surreal and transcending the subtle politics normally present in the art community, Nada Dada is the raw personification of creativity. As you wander from room to room, you'll more often than not get to speak to each artist in an intimate setting, learn more about their work , and perhaps even spark up a lively debate or two in the process

It could not be the more perfect setting for artists to present non-conforming art...art that asks questions, art that rebels, art that provokes thought, art with some teeth and a mean bite, art that is for adults.

Below you'll find information, a map, links, the flyer, and some details/links to artist exhibits in the rooms. Hope to see you out and about!
