CommRow and 2nd Street Building Photos

by Mike Van Houten / Jun 24, 2011

You might remember me complaining about a certain building and its embarassing half-hung vinyl signage, here.

I've received several tips that the building was undergoing a paint job, and looked fantastic without all the signs pinned up so I ventured down for a few pictures. It's amazing the difference some sprucing up and a paint job make. I'm hoping the signs aren't jus repinned back up on the building, but if they are, well at least the building looks better.

In other downtown photo-worthy news, the big F's are starting to come down off the tower at CommRow. Check ou the pics, courtesy one of my fans and downtowners Matt.

I walked past these storefronts everyday. And you are right, they are spruced up, but an improvement? No.

Glad to see the repainting of that building on Second; it really needed it. Any word on the facade improvements that were planned for the buildings along Virginia Street? If any buildings need a repainting, it's definitely those there.

Beverly's souvenir shop at corner of 2nd and Virginia has the ugliest storefront in the western hemisphere. You'd think they'd have some pride and go to Lowes and slop some paint on the outside. No class.
