Farmers Market begins Sunday

“West Street Sundays” begins this Sunday, June 13 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will be held on every Sunday through September 26. Yay! There was a bit of uncertainty with all the recent negative press regarding West Street Market and its future, but make no mistake about it, the farmers market IS downtown this summer, and the City is billing it as 'Not Your Typical Farmers Market'.

It features a Farmer’s Market where you can buy fresh locally grown veggies, fruits, berries, and everything in between, while enjoying live music and drinks.

It's a very rewarding feeling to support local growers directly. To hand a farmer money directly for his/her goods is a liberating feeling for me, as much as as buying coffee from Kona Girl's family coffee farm. Farmer's Markets have a significant health benefit as well.

***Free validated parking is available at the Parking Gallery on First Street 7 days a week.
