When: 8/13/2010 - 7:30 PM - Friday Concerts
Where: The Knitting Factory - 211 North Virginia Street, Reno
Genre: Electronica - Pop
One day, the Buck brothers, Weston and Jackson simply got tired of making the same kind of music as everyone else. It's hard to stand out when you're just another sheep in the flock. So they decided to be a little more like the chupacabra - unique, mysterious, unidentified... This music can be best described as, well... music. New music. It doesn't exactly fit into any particular genre at the moment since every song has a unique style and taste. So for now that's what we'll call it. This Nevada based duo writes fun, and upbeat music. They are inspired by any music that is a catalyst of dancing. "If you can feel the rhythm, then I believe that artist/song has succeeded in creating wonderful material." This is the type of music is what Weston Buck believes makes musical history, and they are here to contribute. There's a certain timeless quality of a song that can be decades old, yet still makes you want to dance. Born on August 13, 1988, Weston was introduced to music from a very early age. Within a few years, he had expanded his resume as not only as a singer, but as an entertainer. Now at 21 years old, things haven't slowed down at all. With his song "BELIEVE IT ft. Pyro" reaching 119 on National Pop-Radio Billboard Charts, as well as sharing the stage with artists such as Hoobastank, Anberlin, Hawthorne Heights and The Pack, Weston is constantly working to share his music with the masses.

From the days of Breakbeat’s origins, FreQ Nasty established himself as one of the scene’s pioneers, producing many of the genre’s defining moments. As Breakbeat came into its own, FreQ Nasty’s tunes remained ahead of the pack. His music is on the cutting edge of the FutureStep Movement, a chaotic loose assemblage of sonic renegades, steeped in the traditions of Breaks, Dubstep, Rock, Ragga, Grime and Funk, chopping in and out of slow-motion, Halfstep beats. FreQ is creating a new sound, referencing Breaks in the spirit that spawned the Genre … twisting whatever is on hand to create something fresh for the ears, full fat for the feet, and free on the mind.
