JB Mapes downtown has completed their renovation and reopened as 'JB Mapes Bistro and Jazz Lounge.' The interior is very different looking from the original JB Mapes, which had a very classy tailored Manhattan style. The restaurant has undergone a complete transformation and now boasts a New Orleans-style interior and menu. Though I have not tried it myself yet, the reviews are pouring in on their new Facebook page located here.
