Reno Farmers MARKET RETURNS!

by Mike Van Houten / Jul 24, 2011

The downtown Reno Farmer's Market is back for an exciting 2011 season! Located on West Street, the Reno Riverwalk West Street Farmer's Market is running from 9 am to 1 pm each Sunday downtown. It's smaller, more quaint, less noisy than other farmers markets in town, and is designed to connect you with local food and produce quickly and easily.

You'll find vegetables, fruits, fresh baked breads, aroma therapy goods and more, all grown or crafted by local regional farmers. There's live music every weekend, and you can make a day of it by stopping by Java Jungle for some morning coffee, or West Street Wine Bar to sample the latest vintage and limited edition wines with your host Rick Martinez.

To avoid the heat, the farmers market in downtown Reno starts at 9 a.m. so get down there early to pick up the best produce. Sounds delicious yeah? And to support local farmers on a non seasonal basis, become a member of Great Basin Food Co-Op.

There's FREE PARKING, validated at the parking garage courtesy Reno Riverwalk.
