Midtown Eats has completed their move to 18 Cheney Street, in a building they bought and own, next to Death & Taxes. The move has been in the works for a while now. I hope they plan on moving their amazing metal sign over to the new location!
Spencer Shea, who owns Shea's Tavern next door to Midtown Eats' old location on Virginia Street, plans to open a high-quality food restaurant next to Shea's, with the preliminary name of 'Homegrown Gastropub', with an accompanying food truck. The Sheas own the entire building Shea's Tavern is housed in. He also plans improvements to the bar itself.
Took quite a while for this move to occur. Hope the new space is amazing. With Bukko opening up just across the street to this whole area of Midtown is going to become much more late-night barhopping district. Don't mind having 40 to 50 bars and restaurants within several blocks these days. I recall when this whole area of town was nothing so I look forward to the progress.
