See See Motor Coffee in Plan Review For Pine Street

by Mike Van Houten / May 16, 2016

See See Coffee has filed a permit and is in plan review for a long-empty beautiful brick building on Pine Street, part of a new development push appropriately named 'Center + Pine' a collection of renovations currently underway on Pine and State Streets, flanked by Center Street and Lake Street.

The permit calls for:

SEE SEE MOTOR COFFEE
REMODEL. DEMO NON-BARING WALL. REMODEL EXISTING RESTROOM AND ADD (2) NEW RESTROOMS. ADD COFFEE BAR/COUNTER WITH NEW ELEC, PLUMBING AND UPDATE EXISTING MECHANICAL. INSTALL 1500 GAL GREASE INTERCEPTOR.

In other words, this is not a small job. This is super exciting news and should help liven up an otherwise sleepy street nestled between downtown, MidTown, and the Wells Avenue Conservation District.

I heard about a coffee shop going in next to MTO Fresh on S.Virginia street at an abandoned car dealership office. Have you heard anything about this?

Looked it up, it was supposed to be a Dutch Bros coffee there. There's an article in the RGJ back in October about it. Any word what happened or if it's still in the planning stage?
