Trocadero Opens For Preview Weekend This Weekend

The Trocadero, located inside the El Cortez at 235 West 2nd Street, has been under construction for the past few months, and now is ready to open this weekend! 

They're opening this weekend with LUZCID on Friday, and a benefit for Planned Parenthood on Saturday. 

Friday night LUZCID is performing, who has performed in almost every city in the US and has produced tracks with Bassnectar. Show starts at 10 pm. 

Saturday night is a fundraiser for Planned Parenthood, with Whitney Myer, Pushbox, and SITR. Show starts at 8 pm. 

Future performances at the Troc include Helicopter Showdown on March 31, Scott Pemberton on April 8, The Brothers Comatose on April 26 and Moon hooch April 29.

    I really think it would benefit the El Cortez and the businesses inside of it (Noble Pie, Trocadero, and the new coffee shop) to work on the exterior of the building a bit. Stained walls and vinyl business signs nailed to composite board continue to make it look like a seedy location.
