Please i noticed that you skipped south right over Reno's only Adult Bookstore and Theater, hasn't it been open at 1052 S. Virginia St. for over 30 years or something? Also, here is a tie in... Silver Peak's XXX Blond beer was named after their neighbor to the west, the Adult Bookstore and Theater... as it says on thier beer menu.

You forgot Pirates Tattoo, Evolution Tattoo, Dixie Rose Tattoo and Nightmare Studios (tattoo parlor).. Additionally, you missed Lotus Body Piercing. I guess SoDo is the tattoo/piercing and porn district.. =)

We have a great building available for rent in this district--one of the afore-mentioned older buildings being used for businesses (the former site of EcoReno, in the "little green house," located at 18 Stewart Street. It is in a great location, practically across the street from the upcoming location of the Nevada Discovery Museum, which will be breaking ground this summer! It will be available in the next month. Please drive by and check it out if you or someone you know is interested in locating their business in this area!

I was checking out the posts and the Tahoe Welness Center is under new ownership. It is called The Studio Reno. It is a great place for Yoga and offers many different styles and you can view the class schedulde on their site. It offers many types of massage like Thai,Swedish,Shiatsu, and Deep Tissue. They also have the only organic juice bar that I can find in town. It is the best kept secret in Reno. I wish more people knew about it. Here is the link. http://www.thestudioreno.com

We are the newest owners in Midtown, having recently purchased the 62 unit former Casson Apartments at Forest and St. Lawrence - We are in the midst of rebranding the property, Midtown Commons!! We are currently underway on a huge renovation and are restoring the vintage 50s building, including refinishing hardwood floors, new paint, granite slab countertops and the original tile bathrooms in all units. The property is now non-smoking, has recycling, a community garden, laundry and a gym! The building will be painted in May, along with new signage and a common BBQ area is going in this Summer. Call us to come take a look at moving to Midtown Commons 775.200.2890.

FYI _ Rose's Cafe is closed so who ever keeps the website needs to update it. It was a good sandwich shop.

GREETINGS! I AM CONSIDERING MOVING MY BUSINESS FROM LAKE TAHOE TO MIDTOWN. 98% OF MY CLIENTS HAVE SUGGESTED MIDTOWN AS A SPIRITED AND DEVELOPING AREA WHICH THEY FEEL WOULD BE A GOOD MATCH FOR MY COMMUNITY, ARTISTIC, AND FRIENDLY - SPIRITED BOUTIQUE. I AM RESEARCHING THE POSSIBILITY OF SHARING A SPACE WITH A GALLERY OR SPA TO BOTH CREATE A MORE ENTICING DYNAMIC AND TO SECURE A MORE AFFORDABLE RENT. I HEAR OF SOME INCENTIVE PROGRAMS FOR ENTREPRENEURS AND ARTISTS, AND WOULD LIEK TO LEARN MORE. I WELCOME SUGGESTIONS. PLEASE EMAIL ME AT LENIKI.BOUTIQUE@GMAIL.COM WITH ANY CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK YOU MIGHT CHOOSE TO SHARE. THANK YOU! :)

There have been many changes to the Midtown area since this page was created! For instance, many of the shops listed don't exist any more and there are more great restaurants and bars. Maytan Music, Roses Cafe, Achieve Fitness and Mandala Massage (among others) are gone. The Biggest Little City Club is now called The Loving Cup and Plato's Closet has moved out of the Midtown area. Some of the new restaurants are Feast, Laughing Planet Cafe, Great Full Gardens, Two Chicks, Morgan's Lobster Shack, and Simple Ice Cream. New bars are 40 Mile Saloon, and The Saint and the Patagonia outlet store has moved into the area. This area of town has also seen a huge increase in rents and home prices.
