These renderings look decent, if a bit same-y. Has there been any discussion or renderings of sidewalk plantings or similar landscaping?

The facade improvement renderings look impressive. Although it is nice to see that the Redevelopment Agency and the City is taking steps to improve the "appearance" of these buildings, I wonder if this is the wisest use of redevelopment funds. I can't help but point out that the majority of the buildings that the Agency is looking to improve through the Facade Improvement Program are either fully vacant or pretty close to fully vacant. It would seem to make sense for the Agency to use their limited resources in acquiring these derelict buildings and work with a private developer to encourage new development with "higher and better uses". I serriously doubt that new tenants will be interested in occuping these buildings just because the facade has been improved.

Honestly... I am minimally impressed. Nothing too drastic... I guess we shall see how this develops.
