Mike, I was walking my dog along the river this morning and noticed that both the old houses on the site are already jacked up and look like they could be moved any time. Do you know, or can you find out, where they plan to relocate them? I dont know what they look like inside but they have some character and might be quite nice if the developer rehabs them. I really cant wait to see the new mixed-use project get started. It looks fantastic.

So now I'll have food within easy walking distance of my house. I like this! The houses aren't quite ready for moving yet I don't think but VERY close.

The 2 Old Houses are being moved a few blocks away to the corner of 2nd St. & Gardner. They will be restored and individually leased or sold for commercial uses. For more information call Paddy @ (775)284-4444.

They are actually moving them today so I hope. When I passed, one was on a flatbed, ready to go, and the other was just about ready to be put on another. Very exciting!

We have a place at the Village at Idlewild and both of the old houses are now gone. Any idea where they went? As for the restaurants, we need a Tapas/Wine bar. :-)

They moved the homes to 2nd Street, a block east of Keystone. They created 3 lots and are looking for a third home to move onto the remaining lot. Owner has stated that he wants to fix them up really nice and turn them into offices (presumably with parking behind as the lots are fairly deep).

Moved directly across the street from Steve's Bathhouse. No value judgement, but I am very curious about the office/retail tenants that would be looking at theses rescued gems.

Has there been any more action at this site? It has been empty for more than a year now (as of July 08) with no sign of construction. It would be a great amenity to the neighborhood, but when will we see it come to fruition?
