Downtown Walk 5-24-07

It was halfway sunny when I started my walk downtown today, but then smoke brown clouds hovered overhead and a hour long rain fell, hindering my ability to take all the pics I had intended, but here are some I took in between the rain. I didn't mind the rain, and apparently it was exclusive to downtown.

I'm excited to try Wild River Grille! Are those outdoor heaters I see stacked against the red fencing? It's very smart of them to add so much patio seating, especially given the modest interior space. Either way, it's a great location for patio dining and heaters would make it useable for a greater portion of the year.

Nice pics as always.... Im wondering if the starbucks was raised 5 feet from sidewalk level incase the river floods again?

State Street Project
Here's a pic of the State St. project. As you can see construction and dismantling has begun, and right now it's at about Kings Inn stage, half torn apart.

Wild River Grill
Wild River Grill has a nice new snazzy sign.

Starbucks Coffee inside the Palladio. Isn't it strange how the main floor is raised 5 five feet higher than the sidewalk. This is so you can catch great views of people's feet as you walk by.

My street! Isn't it purdy?

A post-rainy First Street.
