MidTown Fitness Options Expand

by Mike Van Houten / Dec 3, 2013

I walk by it every day, but didn't notice Achieve Fitness had become Midtown Fitness until I saw a Facebook post from Midtown Health and Fitness stating they changed their name to Double Edge to avoid a trademark violation with another facility in MidTown. A few days later I was walking down Center Street and noticed Achieve Fitness had been renamed to Midtown Fitness.

Double Edge seems like a better fit for a Crossfit-centric workout and health facility anyway. Check out the photo below of them installing flooring!

More than just a Crossfit training facility, Double Edge will offer personal coaching, TRX Classes, massage therapy, and general health and fitness coaching, along with a retail store. The 14,500 square foot facility has over 11,000 square feet of training area, two private massage rooms, beautifully appointed and fully supplied women’s and men’s bathrooms, changing/locker rooms each with three private individual showers, as well as a lounge and kids area.

The newly renamed Midtown Fitness is also attracting a following, with good reviews on Yelp, and a close friend of mine who works out there (Zumba!) enjoys it. They offer classes for cardio, body sculpting, Zumba, spinning, kickboxing, yoga, and circuit training. You can find links to both facilities plus other fitness options in MidTown below.
