The Reno Aces will kick-off the 2012 season with an eight-game homestand beginning Thursday night, highlighted by an Opening Night celebration. First pitch is slated for 6:35 p.m. for all games during Opening Week, with the exception of Sunday’s 1:05 p.m. start.

Opening Night will pit the Aces against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox. Whitney Myer, Reno native and contestant on NBC’s “The Voice,” will perform the National Anthem, and the club will unveil its 2011 Pacific North Division Championship banner.

Friday’s game will mark the first Saint Mary’s Fireworks Friday presented by KRNV News 4, with fireworks immediately following the game.

In addition to being the first televised game of the season on my21 TV, Saturday’s game will feature the A-Play Club Fleece Blanket Giveaway, presented by KOLO 8 News Now.

A pre-game Easter Egg Hunt for fans age 12 and younger will kick off the first afternoon game of the season on Sunday. Festivities will also include the Renown Children’s Hospital Family Funday, featuring Baseball Bingo. Lucky bingo winners will win an autograph mini bat, and one lucky fan will have the chance to win a game-worn jersey just by participating. 

Kids will be invited to come onto the field to run the bases after the games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Salt Lake Bees come to town on Monday, and fans will be treated to $1 nachos throughout the game, as part of Om-Nom-Nomdays presented by KTVN Channel 2 News. On Mondays throughout the season, fans can look forward to $1 nachos, hot dogs or ribs.

Bargain hunters can take advantage of another great deal on Tuesday with 2-for-$22 Tuesdays. Fans can purchase two tickets, two hot dogs and two sodas for only $22.

If the Aces win Wednesday night, fans will receive a free appetizer to either the Arroyo Mexican Grill or Duffy’s in the Freight House District as part of the Aces WINSdays.

The homestand wraps up with the first of 11 Coors Light Thirsty Thursdays of the season. Fans can enjoy $2 beer specials through the middle of the fifth inning.
