Former Woolworths Building to Get Bowling Alley

by Mike Van Houten / Jul 21, 2014

Jamy Kashmiri, the owner of the Woolworths Building in downtown Reno, will be building out a restaurant, bar and boutique bowling alley!

The bowling alley will have six lanes, will reside in the basement level along with the bar and restaurant. Included in the package will be entertainment including bands, dj's, etc.

He also plans to develop the ground-floor level, and hope the bowling alley/restaurant will jump-start development within the building.

Work has already begun inside the building, as laborers have ben working to remove the building's old escalators.

Construction should be complete and the boutique alley open sometime in the 4th quarter of this year. Tico Construction is the general contractor on the project.

It will be interesting to see if the concept follows the same higher-end concept that was briefly toyed with for CommRow. At one time, for a brief moment, CommRow was actually going to be a Lucky Strike Hotel.

If you are unsure of what Lucky Strike is, check out their web site.
