- 99 N. Virginia St., Reno
You are invited to participate in singer/actor/director/voice teacher Cami Thompson’s 3-hour “Vocal Production Workshop”. It will be held at Brüka Theatre on Sunday April 30th from 1:00 to 4:00pm. Cami will be sharing her knowledge and experience of the Vox Humana, drawing from her 40+ years as a professional singer, actor, voice teacher, recording artist, music producer and music director. Singer and speakers of all levels interested in honing their vocal capabilities – for theater, stage, studio, school, classroom, courtroom, pulpit, or lectern – will learn and understand the basic Mechanics of the Human Voice. These primary physical actions – breathing, phonation, resonance, and articulation - are the foundation of your unique, one-in-7.5 billion voice, and Cami can teach you how to use it with ease and power through your new knowledge, awareness, focus, and the repetition of exercises. The cost of this workshop has been kept at a minimum thanks to funding from The Nevada Arts Council to be accessible to all who wish to improve the use of their voice…. $10 for the 3-hour clinic. Open to ages 12 and up. Wear comfortable clothes to move in, but not too loose, so Cami can see the movement of your throat, chest and abdomen. BRING A YOGA MAT OR BLANKET, AND BRING WATER!
