Home / Downtown Revitalization

Reno Ballroom

One of downtown's newer additions is the 32,700 square foot ballroom. It's architecture and general theme matches the Reno Events Center. It can accomodate more than 1,900 for an elaborate dinner and 2,900 for a general session.

It's a large column-free meeting space with tall 25-foot ceilings, which using the latest technology, can be split into smaller meeting spaces. Each smaller meeting space has its own heating, air-conditioning, Internet and audio-visual controls. The Reno ballroom also has a 4,659-square-foot glass wall pre-function salon, with artwork from artist Cork Marcheschi, plus secondary pre-function foyer.

it's all lit up BIGTIME now and apparently has had a function for the Elk people. It's a major downtown improvement and hopefully gets a lot of use.

from http://www.circusreno.com/meetingsandbanquets/downtownrenoballroom.aspx Opening in early 2008, the new Ballroom in Downtown Reno is conveniently located two blocks from Circus Circus and is a great complement to the Reno Events Center located just across the street. The facility will feature 28,000 square feet of flexible function space for banquets, meetings, and breakout sessions.

I was at the Collegiate boxing event for 2 nights and the new Ballroom is great. They could get a lot of boxing in there....they need more stands. I think the Eldorado/Silver Legacy ran a nice event. There were boxers from Pennsylvania, Kentucky, the Air Force Academy, West Point, Navy, UNLV, and of course Nevada.

The photo in your article is of the Reno Events Center, not the Reno Ballroom.
