Silver Peak Brewery

I will always have respect for Silver Peak Brewery downtown, because they were one of the first ones to take a chance downtown, and it paid off big time for them.

Silver peak is located in the parking garage on 1st and Sierra Streets. You can't miss it; in the summer you will see scores of people dining outside at any given point in the day.

The food and beer here is hard to beat in town. I would say Great Basin Brewery is comparable, but that's in Sparks, or 'East Reno' as mayor Bob Cashell calls it.

My favorite dishes at Silver Peak are the Salmon Fish and Chips and their hamburgers. Their hamburgers are juicy and cooked perfectly.

The beers are excellent as well, brewed on-site at their original location on Wonder Street. Red Roadster rocks! If you are downtown, whether you're a local or a visitor, stop by and say hi to some of the nicest staff downtown. Even after expanding, the place gets very crowded during the summer at lunch and dinner times.

Had dinner here last night. Got there during happy hour, about 6:30. Loved the atmosphere. The food and the service were great. Two dinners, an appetizer, and two beers and we were out the door in under $40 tip included. I had the IPA, was very pleased with it. We will definitely be back.
