RTC Votes to Keep Median, Wider Sidewalks in Midtown Narrow Section

After a lengthy stream of public comments, RTC votes unanimously to keep RTC's designs which include eliminating some left turns in Midtown, eliminating center turn lane, adding a median, and keeping wider sidewalks. 

New Wine/beer Venue Coming to Holcomb Avenue

A few months ago, the owner of 675 Holcomb, the 'tin can' building, contacted me letting me know he was adding features to the building to make it more lease-friendly to a cafe/coffee shop/wine bar type of venue. 

It didn't take long apparently to fill the unique building straddling Sinclair and Holcomb, technically on the edge of Midtown and the edge of the Wells Avenue Conservation District, it will bridge the two neighborhoods together with a wine and beer venue called 'The Glass Die'.

1049 South Virginia Street, the building that houses Melting Pot World Emporium, has filed for a facade remodel permit, joining its neighbor, 109 South Virginia Street for some building improvements.

Hub Coffee Roasters has filed for a permit at 316 Vassar Street, changing the use of the property from salon to coffee roaster.
